My students have finished their half semester with me so I got a bit snap happy with the camera.
The last lesson is often a mad scramble of threading elastic through waistlines and adding the final embellishments. The table is a sea of colour with fabrics, ribbons and buttons everywhere. Machines always chew someone’s fabric or mysteriously become totally unthreaded. I need the patience of a saint to rethread several overlockers in a row. We always get there by the end though and the journey is worth it.
The project was one I often do with beginner sewers – Pajama sets. We were all quite proud of the finished garments.
